I am a writer – of thrillers. And I’m a bookseller as well; used to be a lawyer, but not so much now. Was a gambler too, like Dostoevsky, but I sure as hell don’t have his talent. You know who I really want to write like? Raymond Chandler [and big Jim Thompson & Charles Williams], but its beyond me, but maybe an aspiration is worth having. Who knows. Anyway, see what you think.
More about the Author
Mark Young practiced as a lawyer for an unknown number of years before disappearing into the wilderness. Some say he spent time in the Philippines, dodging bullets and drinking Red Horse Beer. Who knows, but later on he emerged, chastened, but with a burning desire to write. These days if you’ve a mind to commune with him, go to the heart of Suffolk – Ed Sheerin territory, if you like that kind of thing – and maybe you’ll find him. He’ll either be writing, or bent over his Fender Stratocaster trying to pick out the runes of Elmore James’s 1839.
He is now working on a screenplay adaption of his first novel, Explosive Verdict.
